They covered that in the thread prior to your post but I guess you didn't bother to read it.The Terrans are the inhabitants of Earth. I just thought I'd point it out that you guys gave a 5 minutes lecture to a 10 second question :P ![]() Hehe, not that I mind, it's good that there are players still willing to teach. In his actual post it says quite clearly, 'can't find any place to buy/sell my ships', it's very clear that his question is specifically WHERE to buy/sell ships. I'd say that he got adequate explanation to fully understand various methods - the how - of selling ships and interacting with the shipyard and 4 of the 5 responses before your last one all did answer *where* you can sell a ship as well. You won't be able to sell the ship you are currently sitting in no matter what, so you may need to know how to change ships. How and where are both relevant though because if you go to the shipyard with your ship you won't be able to sell it unless you actually have two ships in the shipyard or you have a trading system extension and you are remotely trading with the shipyard that has one of your extra ships docked in it. If it just said where then the question could be answered in one word: shipyard. Originally posted by OTDSqr_CtMurphy:You guys realise that all the dude asked was WHERE he/she could sell ships right? Hahaha.ĭid you not read the title of the thread? It says "*How* can I buy/sell ships". Purchased ships will then be docked at the shipyard you purchased them from. Note that if you sell a ship, you are also selling all cargo and equipped weapons/armor and docked ships on that ship. The ammenities offered depends on the local equipment dock. Once you have made a purchase, it will confirm your purchase and then ask you what ammenities you would like to add (to every ship you purchase). Note that the numbers in the list of ships offered shows you whether or not the ships is available and the S, M, or L notation tells you what ammenities come with the ship (S being practically nothing, M being moderately kitted out, and L being well-equipped). Once again, use the slider at the bottom to purchase ships. To buy the ships, scroll down past the list of stations where you will see the list of ships the shipyard offers. Your ships will appear first and you may be allowed to repair or sell them by clicking on the blank (or blue) slider at the bottom and using either the arrow keys or mouse click on the slider to select the amount of repairs or amount of ships you wish to purchase (for repairs) or sell (for your ships). The basic interface is, once you are parked at a shipyard, press "d" to trade. If you have not completely pissed off that faction, you will be allowed to park and buy a few scout fighters (maybe even M4s and M3s) and possibly smaller freighter ships.Īs you progress with your faction relations, the affiliated shipyards will eventually allow you to buy any ships and stations that they offer. Shipyards will sell you ships based on your ranking with the faction they are affiliated with. If you wish to purchase a ship, you must either be at a shipyard or, if you have the trading system extension, you must have a ship parked at the shipyard you wish to purchase a ship from. If you wish to sell a ship at a shipyard that you are not at, you must have the trading system extension. Once it is parked at a shipyard (any shipyard will do) and you are not piloting it, you may sell it if you are at the shipyard (parked in another ship). To sell a ship, you must first not be piloting it.
